Thank you, I'm replacing bullet LED light housings in my hot tub and didn't want to drain it. Now I can try silicone on the flange to help seal them without draining the tub.

Heads up to anyone attempting this nowadays - if you want long continuous uninterrupted strips, do NOT measure by sq footage. While technically there may be enough on the rolls for full coverage, what you're going to end up with is pieces that are cut up half way down the wall. Please instead find out how many continuous floor to ceiling strips you can get out of one roll (you may end up discarding 4-5ft). Then divide the width of the wall by the width of one roll to see how many continuous strips you'll need. If you don't do it this way, it's going to look patchy, and that's the last thing you want with contact wallpaper.

hows it holding up after all these years? my worry is that after a year its gonna peel

Even though the anchor is self drilling, making a pilot hole / pre-drilling as in the video helps to avoid having the tip of the anchor snap off.

I have hung so many different types of wall paper throughout the years. From grass cloth, string cloth, some as thin as newspaper, some pre pasted. some not. Pretty sure I got the same manufacturer as this but a different pattern. 2 things that are strange about this stuff. Say you have a pattern with what seems to be nothing but all identical diamonds. People have trouble because they really look identical but they are actually not. Your next diamond could be 18" or the 3rd or 4th diamond down, not the next diamond on the roll. (this is called repeat) You have to butt the covering with the backing still on to see where the match is, before you cut your next strip. You will lose at minimum this 18" plus per vertical run. So you need much more than you show in your calculation. There is a lot of waste. You could use up your scraps with horizontal pieces but it will be very obvious when the light rakes over it. Another word of caution is that NO walls are plumb or square. It is important not to follow the other wall for placement but use a long level to the right of the strip to get it completely vertical or plumb. A crooked ceiling will be noticeable but not as much as the covering hung on even the slightest diagonal. This covering is incredibly thin, so it will not cover color variations on the existing wall. Any bumps or divets will show. If you covered a blue wall with this new white background the blue will most certainly show through. Best to put up a small piece and see if you will have to paint or repair the walls first. It is very much repositionable so I was able to get my seems matched perfectly, the problem was after 4 months, the covering shrunk slightly, not quite a 1/4" but enough to notice. This covering is the least expensive and easiest to apply as he shows, but will not cover any imperfections His particular pattern is extra forgiving, he is butting a black line to a black line, when it shrinks, he could fill the gap with a black sharpie This is not like matching a half flower to the other side of the the flower on the next strip. Last tip be sure to avoid any shine to the plastic covering, it really looks cheap. Check the Amazon comments to see the amount of sheen, the description is not honest at all.

Will it stick to a wall which is not smooth. I mean no wall putty applied just concrete plaster and distemper applied. Will the wallpaper stick to an uneven coarse wall

You have to do what is enjoyable for you. An accountant doesn't want to come home from work and do taxes.

The towel is to dry my tears as I realize I suck at home renos and should have hired a professional.

I am actually doing a similar job right now but have put wooden dowels into shelf with half sticking out to go into the wall. Doesn't need to be very weight bearing as its just for security cameras. Need to have it upright as sideways I get the wrong angle of view in the camera video. Just a matter of lining up the wall holes now in exactly right place, think I will use chalk or similar or end of dowels to mark the wall. Doing one each corner end of room but high up as a robber threw a black cloth over the camera.

Thanks very much! Just used the white GE on a plumbing project to seal a leak on a shower that gets used often. Great to see it held up somewhat. I hade the "supreme" not the "advanced" but they look similar. Next time I'm using that first one. You should get a kickback from them!

No way should you ever ever overlap wallpaper always start at the edge peel a little away at a time and working inch by inch Best to put your side down first and then remove the backing again little by little

Clear silicone may dry as it is underwater but don't expect it to adhere or waterproof edges or joints. It has to cure and not touch water for at least 24 hrs

How long did it take to apply this start to finish?

You can adjust the range of the dimmer with that blue dial under the switch cover. No need to cut power, since you will stay outside of where the wires are.

What screws would you recommend to build the same but attach to a cinder block wall?

Don't take my word for it. After you have used the toilette on a few trips, swab the surfaces of everything in your camper and send them to be examined. Every swab will have been found to have fecal matter. There's a reason why they never put toilets in these campers and those that are bigger and do have one, it's in a separate room, not in front of your sink and stove

I just did my first upholstery job on a similar piece of foam last week. I researched nothing and did it my way which turned out great to me. I used spray adhesive and super glue for a cat bed. Video comes out Saturday. Nice job with the camper.
